Soil genesis, commonly termed pedogenesis, is the complex process by which soils are formed. This protracted transformation involves the interaction of numerous factors, including weather, topography, parent material, biomass, and time. These components act in a coordinated manner to shape the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil.
